The driving instructor that takes all of our area sophomore teenagers

The driving instructor that takes all of our area sophomore teenagers once a day and teaches it is a very good teacher. The driving instructor has been there for these kids every step of the way for 10 years. I have heard he has taken on young adults after school is released and finished up course study to get a driver’s license when illness has prevented them from completing his course during the school sessions. The driving instructor’s name is Coach McCall. All of the young adults call him MC and he is well liked by all of the students. He prides himself in the fact that the accident rate for this county and most of the surrounding counties has come way down since his arrival to our area. He is from the United Kingdom and the accent when he speaks tickles the little children he is around at the school. I can just imagine what he thinks of our southern drawl…

He has been explaining the insurance differences from where he is from as well as the differences of what is required to drive in both countries. He has explained about the motor trade industry over there, the theory test, and then talked about what the difference are and what is required to obtain a policy from any insurance group from United States and the United Kingdom. Mainly passing a written or theory test to get under the wheel to begin to drive, once the driven or practical test is passed a driver’s license is then issued to the young adult.

MC loves the fact that is goes home often to see family but his heart is also here. His kids, he calls them, love him as well. MC takes his responsibility of being a driving instructor very seriously and if any young adult doesn’t drive with confidence he will tutor them more and make that a non-issue or he will tell them they have to repeat his course the next year. If a child can’t get under a wheel and take care of any situation, he or she needs to wait until they can.

I found out the other day his life was changed forever because of a young adult’s problem with confidence. His twin sister was killed by a young driver when he failed to pull out of the lane in time and hit his parent’s car on the highway. He was 14. Something like that as tragic as it is, will sometimes bring a young person to their calling. He decided had that teenage had more confidence the situation would never have occurred.
