I have two teenagers that will be young drivers within a couple of weeks. I remember just yesterday I had bought one a scooter, and now in the next couple of weeks, that one is going to be buying his own classic car.
Starting next week, they will each take their own driving lesson, and they have 10 of them to complete. I know each driving lesson they take, I will hear what they did, how they did, and if they passed each driving lesson. Yes for the next 5 weeks this is all I will be hearing.
The first driving lesson one learned about how to park a car in between 2 cars, and the other one learned how to change a flat tire. It was nice they are not taking the same driving lessons together, because this way they can compare notes.
Now the next driving lesson, one learned how to change a flat tire, and the other one learned how to drive on a 4 land highway. When they came home and was telling me all about it, it reminded me of when I was taking these driving courses.
As time went by, during each driving lesson, they learned something new. They learned how to check the water in the radiator, how to check if they battery is low, how to check air pressure in the tire, and of course how to drive.
They would come home and say everything is so new to them, how will I remember this and how will I remember that. I told them once they got to driving more it would come back to them. Once they owned their own car, they would appreciate it a lot more. Your very first car, is one you would appreciate a lot more, when you have to spend your own money.
I still can’t believe they are going to be old enough to drive by themselves in a couple of weeks. Just seemed like yesterday I was changing their diapers, and getting bottles ready for them. Time has sure gone by fast.
Well today is the day they both find out if each one passed their final driving lesson, and this includes not only driving, but also a final quiz. They were telling me the quiz had 35 questions and you had to follow directions to know which one to answer, and not to answer. I wonder if that is a quiz you are suppose to read all the way through, and the last statement was the only thing you were suppose to do was write your name in the top right hand corner.
Guess I will find out when they get home.
