One day there was a biker named Barry, he loved his bike to bits, it was a Motocross series 6.2 X7360, buying it from a salesman at £950, it certainly wasn't cheap. He had to go to driving school 4 times a week before he could drive it on the road. Driving school though, also was not cheap at all. £400 a month just to learn how to ride a motorbike on the road. He had to attend driving school for 9 months before he could attempt getting a licence. 9 months went by very fast for Barry, and soon he had completed driving school and got his licence. Straight away he shot out onto the M5, going speeds of up to 100 mph, eager to see what his baby could do. But that's when it all went wrong, he was going around 95 Miles per hour when it happened, the red land rover came to a sudden halt in front of him and before Barry had time to break, he crashed into the back of the Rover, skidding along the road heading towards the crash barrier. But then it got worse. Another car was on the outside lane, waiting for Barry to crash into it. Barry slammed down the breaks before he lost consciousness.

The next thing he knew, he was in hospital. The doctor told him he suffered minor leg and arm injuries, and severe head injuries. He told him he may suffer long term brain damage and will never be able to ride again. At age 34, Barry was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome as well as many other long term syndromes and illnesses. Barry learnt his lesson that day. Most definitely the hard way. His wife left him and his 2 sons went with her. He was left alone for the next 25 years, sitting at home doing nothing but think. Barry died age 66 in his sleep. He had no reason to go on anyway. His bike cost him his family, his memory and most importantly, his life. I hope people learn from this story as it is a very serious matter. I think bikes should be illegal to prevent thousands of deaths every year. The motorways should be more safe and have a reinforced speed limit to stop people like Barry. Many people could of been hurt that day, luckily all got out alive. Except Barry. Poor guy.
