My dad bought the family's first motorcycle six months ago. It was actually for short-distance travel, something we could use when we would visit our cousins at a nearby village, for example.

I had never driven a motorcycle, so I started reading from the Internet how to drive one. The first driving classes I attended some years back was only for four-wheel cars, so it was not much of a help.

My cousin, who is one of the female driving instructors of adriving school here,offered to teach me the basics of motorcycle driving. My father bought an automatic motorcycle, so it was not a difficult one to learn about, or so said my cousin. I also learned from her that manual units have a number of buttons and parts to press or touch for it to get moving. That was a problem for someone who was starting to know about motorcycles like me. I actually thanked my dad for choosing an automatic.

So after our classes, we then proceeded to the theory test. It was two days after our informal classes when my cousin had let medriveour motorcycle. Itfelttense at first, butupon knowing thatmy feet could still touch the ground, I became at ease. I was then set to start my first theory test with the motorcycle in my hands.

We set the theory test at theback of our grandparents' house. There was a huge space there, just perfect for our little exercise. It was also far from other people, who might get harm if I did not do well with the bike. So, the ignition was started, and then the bike moved.

I quite had fun putting into practice what I just learned. It was hard turning left or right though, but I was so sure I would learn it in no time.

After the practice at our grandparents' backyard, I was then allowed to go out to the streets. My cousin, at this time, was already bringing her own motorcycle as I circled around the village. I had to give ourselves a wide gap to avoid myself from hitting her. I was still a newbie here.

That was six months ago, I am now a full-fledged motorcycle driver.
